PSP GO

There have been more rumours about the Sony PSP’s successor than MPs backtracking on expense claims, but the Sony PSP Go looks like being the one, thanks to these images leaked just ahead of the games conference E3.

Finally we’ve got a glimpse of the new PSP Go. Specs-wise it looks likely to boast a 3.8-inch screen – which is actually smaller than the currentPSP’s 4.3-incher! But that’s not the main talking point. The UMD drive looks to have been ditched too and replaced with 16GB of internal storage and a Memory Stick Micro slot. There’s also the added bonus of Bluetooth.

The rumours also suggest there will be full support for the PlayStation Network, with video rentals and game purchases possible. Plus there’s still the usual PlayStation 3 integration that was on offer with the PSP-3000.

And there’s reportedly more. The Sony PSP Go will also be getting its very own new Gran Turismo, LittleBigPlanet and, get this, Metal Gear Solid games! Sounds tasty. We’ll confirm (or correct) all this after Sony’s keynote tonight.
