Today the met office has released a weather warning of gales which will hit west of Scotland and could cause damage to electricity lines
This is the offical warning from the met office
A deep area of low pressure will bring severe gales to the western Highlands, as well as the Western and Northern Isles today.
South westerly winds could reach 70-80mph, with some disruption possible
The warning is vaild until 01.00 BST
